I get so sleepy
Please forgive me if I drift off during our wedding
These traditional things are such a drag to me
(You don't believe in true love)
But I'll wake up when you leave
(I don't believe in true love)
You say you goto Cha-ke-bo
Hide somewhere that is nowhere
You waste your time
When you tell me things like that
Can't change your mind
Once you go you don't come back
Please, please don't leave me
They're not as happy as they seem
Come back to me, love
And we'll wake up from this dream
You cut your fingers
Pretty little hands weren't made for manual labor
They were meant for making up your lips and eyes
(You don't believe in true love)
Now nothing runs, when you cry
(I don't believe in true love)
I'm so sorry
Drag my body
Just to pass and bring you back
They waste your time
When they tell you things like that
You change your mind
Once you go you can't go back
Please please, let's leave them
They're not as happy as they seem
Come back with me, love
And we'll wake up from this dream

Singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer... and iPhone-recording pioneer? Back in 2012, Chris Price found out that his new iPhone could be turned into a 4-track recorder... and this set was the result. Even better, the recording medium is irrelevant: "Homesick" is simply a great retro-power-pop album. Tim Walker

Everything that Bryan Scary touches is musical gold... at first when he branched out from the Shredding Tears to do Evil Arrows I was heartbroken... but these songs are full of the solid power-pop brilliance that his earlier work exhibited, if a bit more guitar-driven. Wonderful stuff! Matthew Laurence
